NEWS SHEET Extract

JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2004

“Let the wind blow through your hair while you still have some”

This is a quote from Dave Weinbaum. If I needed reminding the message is clear. There is still lots to challenge us; much to enjoy and plenty to do – hairor no hair.
I hope that your 2004 will bring you all pleasure and security. If the going does get tough may you find the courage and strength to get you through.

Once again we can look back on another year as a Society and find much to be pleased about. The S.C.B.S. Inc. continues to consolidate and grow in a Bromeliadfriendly environment. Thank you for the contributions of time, effort and money that each of you make towards its success. We look forward to another exciting year.

BOB PAULSEN - President

NOTE – PLANT SALES & PRICING OF PLANTS

It is not always easy to decide what to charge for plants. Understanding the market is helpful but it boils down to an individual decision. There has been atendency lately, because of the demand for Bromeliads, to raise prices and in some instances the temptation is there to exploit the situation.
Membership in the Sunshine Coast Bromeliad Society places a responsibility upon us to be fair and reasonable in not taking advantage of our fellow members or the public.
