- WORLD BROMELIAD CONFERENCE -

The first time this event has been held outside the United States of America; what an opportunity for we Aussies!
Lynn Hudson, the Conference convenor has sent an update of information and program:

Program:
Tuesday; will be Judges School, Director's Board meeting and Golf Game.
Wednesday; plants will be accepted for the competitive Show.
Thursday; the Show will be judged plus optional trip to Rainforest Habitat, Port Douglas,
Official opening by Cairns Mayor, Plant sales at 7.00pm.
Friday & Saturday; are Seminar days.
Friday at 7.00pm is Rare Plant Auction.
Sunday; is local Gardens Tours and Banquet at 6.30pm.

Speakers: Confirmed speakers include; Peter Bak, Cristy Brenner, Derek Butcher, John Catlan, Andrew Flower, Larry Giroux, Paul Isley, Robert Kopfstein, DavidLiddle, Vic Przetocki and Herb Plever.

Registrations: At end of November, there were 274 registrants. The conference room can hold 600, so there's room for many more! For those intending to attend butnot yet registered, be advised that after 25th May, all Registration forms should be sent to Lynn Hudson at PO Box 28, Cairns, Q4870.

Until April 30, registration fee is $US205, and $US240 after May 1.

What will you get included in your registration?
· Name badge, to be worn at all times
· Welcome bag with programme, name badge, map of Cairns and brochures
· Entry to Show room, Sales room and Rare Plant auction
· Local Gardens Tour
· Tea/Coffee and Lunch on Seminar days
· Banquet and Preceedings book
Spouses/Partners who are not registered, the local Gardens tour is $15 and the Banquet is $55. Visitors will pay $10 to enter the Show and Sales room.
